Organization profiles are sourced from CRA T3010 filings and each organization's publicly available information. We refresh listings annually from CRA data and on a rolling basis as organizations or community members submit corrections.

Because donation policies and hours change, we recommend confirming details directly with any organization before dropping off items. If you spot an error, the "Suggest Edit" button on any listing lets you flag it — corrections are reviewed and applied promptly.

GiveMap does not collect your name, email, or contact details. When you reach out to a nonprofit, you communicate with them directly.

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how people navigate the site — anonymized usage patterns, search terms, and session behavior. We do not sell this data or use it to identify individual users.

GiveMap currently includes Canadian registered charities that report meaningful gifts-in-kind activity in their CRA T3010 filings. We focus on organizations that regularly receive donated physical goods — clothing, furniture, food, electronics, and similar items — because that's where donors are most likely to find a relevant match.

Organizations reporting under CAD 10,000 in in-kind donations, or those that exclusively accept financial instruments such as insurance policies or securities, are excluded from results. Coverage is Canada-first and expanding.

Many Canadian registered charities are already listed based on publicly available CRA data. Listing is free, and organizations can claim their profile to update contact details, accepted items, hours, and program descriptions — or request removal at any time.

To claim your listing, use the "Suggest Edit" button on your profile and indicate that you represent the organization. We'll follow up to verify and transfer management access.
